An infinitely scrolling horizontal theme with scrollable boxes for long text posts.
Special ‘Quirinius’ Appearance Options:
- ‘Smaller posts’ – makes post height 320px instead of the standard 500px
- ‘Centerize sidebar’ vertically centers the sidebar in relation to the posts
- ‘Text permalink on text posts’ – text on non-photo posts instead of the triangle corner permalinks
- ‘Space between posts’ – self explanatory, default is 20px
- Various opacities – ‘sidebar opacity’, ‘sidebar hover opacity’, ‘permalink opacity’, ‘permalink hover opacity’
- ‘Hide title’ and ‘hide links’
Standard Appearance Options:
- Pad capabilities – adds or removes post padding depending on backgrounds
- ‘Endless scrolling’ with audio fix
- Twitter – shows your latest tweet in the sidebar
- ‘Google Analytics ID’ – no need to insert the code by hand
- Custom Colours – text, link, small scrollbars, background (post, page, sidebar, twitter)
- Images – title, background (with full sized stretch toggle)
- Fonts – body, title and serif (for post titles)
Hi, this is a really nice theme, I’m loving it. There seems to be a little white line that underscores all of the youtube posts i’ve put up, kind of grains against the background.. any idea how to get rid of this?

If there’s no redirect option when making a page it’s because you haven’t confirmed your email on your tumblr account, it has nothing to do with the theme.
hi. I found your themes thanks to http://www.katiejonesknit.co.uk/ (after clicking on collections). Is it an old theme? I discovered some differences compared to the quirinius theme, in general it is just beautiful but what bugs me is that when I click on my pages in the side bar, the page which appears loses the quirinius presentation and becomes a vertical scroll bar and the sidebar becomes static. In http://www.katiejonesknit.co.uk/ ‘s page it does not do so, is it an old theme or did she customize her html?
If it’s one of your old versions, is there any way of getting it? I’m a young fashion designer and I’m going to apply for the festival d’hyères this year, if your theme works out it might get even more popular through my portfolio ;)

On the site that you referenced none of the pages are static, they’re links to tagged pages so all the content shown is from posts; I had to change the layout from horizontal to vertical on pages because otherwise it would just look like one big post stuck in a small scrolling box. If you want to recreate what she has you can redirected a page to ‘/tagged/static’ and tag all your content as static. Also, my themes are already popular enough.
Really like this theme. Is there a way to make the infinite scroll work on mobile devices (ipads)? It stops at the 15th image, I’m assuming because I have 15 posts checked in my advanced section in customize. Is there a way to make that number higher so that it continues scrolling on devices? Thank you for any help!
I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work on an ipad, and can’t think of anything to change to make it work. The safest thing to do is check ‘optimize for mobile layout’ (or s/t like that, mine’s in French so I don’t know exactly) in the advanced tab of your customize page, and then it won’t be the theme but will definitely function properly.

J’ai installé ce thème, il est superbe, mais il y a un problème, les autres ne peuvent pas “rebloguer” et “aimé” mes posts ? Quand on clique sur l’image on a juste la photo ainsi que que la description, comment faire pour regler ce probleme ?
On peut le faire, si on clique sur le triangle en haut à gauche des posts, on trouverait la page permalink avec les boutons en haut à droit de l’écran. Désolée pour le mauvais français…

Sorry but only my premium themes have disqus built in. You can try and add it yourself though.
Is there a way to make it so the ask link and additional links I added are capitalized (or anything other than fixed lowercase) so they’ll match my title? I tried for like an hour but I couldn’t get it, I know it isn’t very important but it’s just 1 little thing away from being my dream-theme :) haha
Yep, ok go to your custom css box in the advanced tab of your customise page and add the following code
#links {text-transform: none!important;}that will stop them from being lowercase, if you want uppercase just change the ‘none’ to ‘uppercase’Your theme is perfect for the content I post (i.e. movie posters). It’s simple, elegant and makes great usage of space. I love the floating, translucent sidebar. Thank you for all your hard work. I appreciate it.

Also noticed that infinite scrolling stops loading more pictures at some point (after circa 100 pictures or so).
Very true. It’s actually default that after the window gets 100,000px wide it cuts off, which tends to be over 200 posts in. I really didn’t think anyone would scroll that far to notice to be honest! For a fix please add the following to your custom css box in the advance tab of your customise page
#content {margin-right: -999999px;}which will now cut off at a million pixels. Change it to whatever you want, but I think some browsers cut off at 100,000 anyway.Hi! My portrait photo won’t show, and there isn’t an option to add it :/ Help? And is there any way I can include the words under the pictures? Please and thank you.
The profile photo option is ‘title image’ and isn’t just your normal dp. And no, there’s no way to show captions under images because that would ruin the whole straight-horizontal thing,
Just realised I might have come off as demanding and ungrateful, but those new themes of yours are wonderful, and Quirinius is definitively the prettiest horizontal theme I’ve ever seen 8)
Would it be possible to make it so that the photosets are resized to fit into the default size rather than cropped up?
Unfortunately no, basically there are only 4 ways to display photosets, three are different widths – 250, 400 and 500 – and the other is to pick it apart into individual pictures and maybe write some super crazy long script to have them fit together like they’re supposed to. For this theme I tried the last way so each picture just looked like and individual post but for some still-unknown reason the actual photos wouldn’t appear but just a white rectangle. So I had to just go with one of the fixed-width options. /longestresponseever

I’ve had 2 requests for this now so I’m going to work on it; it seems doable. btw Johan you’re so rubbish at trying to cover yourself up :)
