Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong research and reconciliation skills
Solid understanding of general ledger accounting
Responsibilities:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the complete Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices and maintaining vendor relationships
This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to reconcile accounts while supporting the Accounts Receivable Specialist as needed
Handle the complete Accounts Payable cycle
Onboard new vendors and record essential information
Review all invoices against purchase orders and receivers (3-way and 2-way match)
Code invoices according to the chart of accounts
Manage company credit cards
Enter all invoices into the accounting software
Handle expense reports, including downloading statements and reviewing submitted reports for accuracy
Print checks, obtain signatures, and maintain A/P internal controls
Reconcile Accounts Payable with the general ledger and maintain intercompany reconciliations
Record ACH and check positive pay in bank portals
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal customers
Communicate with vendors to resolve billing disputes or inaccuracies
Assist with state sales tax filings
Participate in special projects as needed
