Requirements:

• Experience : At least 5 years in solder assembly within electronics manufacturing, ideally in a contract manufacturing or OEM environment.
• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications/Standards : Knowledge of IPC 610 Class 3 and J-STD-001 standards, with familiarity in soldering through-hole and SMT components.
• Skills :
  • Proficient in soldering (both lead and lead-free processes).
  • Understanding of military/commercial electronics .
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets, blueprints , and schematics .
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified environments.
  • Proficiency in using various tools (e.g., heat guns, torque drivers, microscopes).
  • Experience with post-soldering operations on PCBs, wiring, subassemblies, and cable harnesses.
  • Knowledge of ECN (Engineering Change Notices) and other PCB modifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform post-solder operations on printed circuit boards (PCBs), including soldering through-hole and SMT components.
• Ensure the application of IPC 610 Class 3 standards for assembly, including resistors, capacitors, diodes , and other components.
• Work with microscope to solder and remove SMT devices, including use of the PACE hot air rework station .
• Inspect and touch-up soldering for quality assurance, maintain production standards, and follow assembly instructions and ECNs .
