The Associate Vice President for Compliance and Ethics and Chief Compliance Officer of Georgetown University coordinates, monitors, and provides general oversight of the University's compliance assurance activities, including compliance both with internal policies/procedures and with external requirements imposed by law, regulation, contracts and/or grant requirements. The AVP provides leadership to ensure an effective compliance program, characterized by well-articulated policies and procedures, efficient mechanisms for ensuring that the University meets compliance obligations and responds appropriately to problems, and a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the University. The AVP leads the Office of Compliance and Ethics and works in conjunction with the individuals with responsibility for compliance in various departments across the University.
This position reports directly to the Vice President & General Counsel and to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. This position requires excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills and an ability to build strong relationships of mutual trust and respect with faculty and staff. This position interfaces with all University officers and employees as well as with the University Board and external consultants.

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$167,633.00 - $327,721.83
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
