Are you passionate about customer service and have a willingness to ensure guests have a great experience? You would make an outstanding addition to our banquet and events team at Delta Hotels by Marriott. We are looking for someone welcoming and attentive to help our guests enjoy their special events. Must have great focus and excellent attention to detail along with good communication skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greet guests and respond to requests in friendly and courteous manner.
• Set up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Manager to include linen, service ware and glass ware.
• Serve food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Banquet Manager to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Once the banquet is complete, reset banquet room according to Manager's specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using the standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
• Safety: food handling and food server safety, look for hazards such as spills or wires that may be in the way.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be required.
• Audio Visual equipment knowledge preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation
• Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 40 lbs through a crowded room.
• Ability to lift and rearrange tables and chairs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
