Job Description
A Barista is responsible for the following job duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Making a variety of coffee, espresso, and tea drinks, including juice and smoothies, according to customer orders and standardized recipes*Greeting customers, providing menu recommendations, and ensuring a positive customer experience*Participate in the daily setup, maintenance, and breakdown of the Cafe department*Package, price, and display baked goods with direction from the Caf Supervisor*Accurately processing cash and card payments and making change*Cleaning and sanitizing the work area, equipment, and customer seating areas*Operate Equipment such as Commercial Espresso Machine, Juicer, Blender, Oven, Bread Slicer, Knives and others as required*Educate customers on juice, coffee & tea selections and different styles of beveragesTroubleshooting juice and espresso machines and cafe equipment*Maintain knowledge of all available products*Stocking supplies and replenishing ingredients as neededEnsure strict compliance with all rules and policies, including but not limited to applicable health and safety policies and laws (i.e.- those that relate to cleanliness and sanitation) *Merchandise/arrange/display Caf product with the Caf Supervisor including but not limited to juice, coffee, tea and bakery items in the retail space*Work and remain qualified in the position knowing the Working Conditions; Job Requirements and Physical Demands / Requirements that relate directly to the essential job duties and functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation (see below for details)Perform all other appropriate duties and tasks as assigned (including those outside of your department and outside of your day-to-day duties to meet business needs) *The above job duties marked with a * are considered essential job duties.
