Position Responsibilities: The Billing Administrator will complete billing processes with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy. In addition, the position may be asked to fill in during the absence of other billing staff. This position will be in-office during 6-month provisional period.

Essential Functions: Process health care claim with multiple payors using multiple billing platforms with a high level of accuracy assuring maximized revenue.

  • Submission of claims to payors using billing software and/or direct data entry, if necessary.
  • Resolve denial instances and resubmit corrected claims.
  • Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided.
  • Utilize reports to analyze claims payment issues.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with program staff to ensure data accuracy.
  • Post claim payments received.
  • Maintain and reconcile account receivable details for all claims.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 3 years' experience with billing/accounts receivable operations, in a non-profit setting, preferred. Extensive work experience may be substituted for degree. Familiarity with MA government contracts a plus.
  • Experience with health care billing systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to work professionally with internal staff, vendors and funding sources.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner.

Hours: 37.5 per week
