Location : Remote or hybrid (if candidate prefers). Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Work must be done within the state of WI

Basic Functions :

Business Analyst/Consultant IV

The Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) is an organization dedicated to protecting Wisconsin citizens while promoting economic growth and stability. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst Consultant IV with strong project management experience to join our team and drive strategic initiatives that enhance our operations and deliver value to our constituents and business partners. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience :

• At least 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst as well as strong experience as a project manager
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Azure DevOps, MS Project) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)
• Please note: THIS IS A BUSINESS ANALYST/CONSULTANT IV POSITION THAT REQUIRES PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.

Nice to Have Skills :

• Business Analyst/Project Manager experience in the State and/or local government sector
• Enhancement/issue tracking system experience
