About the Role

The Company is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as the Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the growth and excellence of the department's educational and scientific programs, with a strong emphasis on maintaining and expanding research areas. This role involves garnering support both internally and externally, promoting research partnerships, and recruiting and retaining outstanding faculty. The Chair will also be tasked with setting and executing a strategic vision for the department, in line with the company's bold 10-year strategic plan. Applicants for the Chair position should hold a PhD or MD/PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology or a related field, and must have a distinguished record of research and publications. Experience in a leadership role, such as a department chair or vice chair, with a proven track record in developing scholastic programs and advancing the careers of faculty and staff, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to education, experience in managing complex budgets, and a reputation for integrity and accountability. The role requires the ability to build and manage interdisciplinary teams, as well as to foster a culture of collaboration and support. The Chair will also be expected to ensure the delivery of excellent education and research training to medical, graduate students, and residents, and to support faculty in securing research funding.
