Job Description

Our client, a leading General Contractor, is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of large-scale ground-up construction projects. While industrial and ground-up construction experience is preferred, candidates with diverse construction backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Projects may include cold storage facilities, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other industrial buildings. This is an in-office position; relocation is welcomed for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating all phases of construction from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Support subcontractor coordination, field operations, and ensure alignment with project schedules and deliverables.
  • Help maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports using Procore or similar software.
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with site safety standards, including OSHA regulations and internal protocols.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist in tracking project schedules, procurement, and logistics.
  • Support collaboration with architects, engineers, consultants, and the internal team to ensure successful project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the construction industry; industrial and ground-up project experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with Procore or other project management tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Tilt Wall construction, PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings), and structural systems is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction site compliance.
