Job Title: Construction LaborerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to assist in installing both above- and underground petroleum tanks, piping, pumps, hoists, lifts, and other related equipment. This role requires the ability to measure, layout, hang, thread pipe, solder/braze pipe, and set mechanical equipment. You will also operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklifts, excavators, and other related tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing petroleum tanks and related equipment.
• Measure, layout, and install piping and mechanical equipment.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely.
• Travel to out-of-town job sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of outdoor labor work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends.
• Ability to operate industry-specific tools and equipment safely.
• Experience in HVAC or concrete, plumbing, mechanical, or underground utility fields.
• Experience in welding, fabricating, and pipefitting, including arc, mig, and tig welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• AWS welding certification preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in HVAC or concrete work.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to travel 50% of the time, with weekends spent at home. If work is more than an hour away, overnight stays in the city are required for weekdays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
