Job Title: General Labor – Construction

Location: Haltom City, 76117

Pay Range: $17.00 to $18.00/hr.

Length on Assignment: Temporary to Permanent assignment.

Shift: 1st Shift

Position Overview:

We currently have many openings for General Labors looking for work in the Haltom City area for many of our Commercial Construction Customers . The positions is starting at $17.00/hr. All interested candidates will need to apply online.

General Description:

Our MEMCO general laborers work in buildings (ground up construction, remodels etc. . .), highways, and heavy construction sites. Our construction laborers perform a variety in a commercial construction environment. General laborers are often required to work outside in all kinds of weather conditions and/or in buildings without heating or air conditioning .

Construction General Labor Job Duty Examples: (Could include but not limited to all the below listed job duties)

· Clear construction sites of debris and trash

· Comb construction area and remove hazardous materials

· Shovel asphalt onto the construction site

· Operate machinery to break up concrete

· Place cement in designated areas

· Position and align structural components in accordance to provided instructions

· Mix and pour concrete on the job site

· Smooth out newly poured concrete using a variety of finishing tools

· Apply caulking components by using caulking guns

· Control nearby traffic by erecting traffic signals and diverting traffic by hand signals

· Dig trenches and level earth in accordance to specifications

· Erect, disassemble and repair scaffolding and temporary structures

· Install sewer pipes, electricity wiring and drain pipes

· Mix ingredients for cleaning and covering surfaces

· Handle construction materials onsite and in storage

· Drive trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites

· Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks

· Haul and hoist material to ensure appropriate delivery to construction site

· Clean up spills and oil and grease hoists

· Operate cranes, pneumatic hammers and tampers

· Construct wall units and base cabinets

· Install floors and shingles

· Build, repair and maintain walls, doors and framework

· Perform preventative and regular maintenance on tools and equipment

Qualifications:

· Relevant previous construction experience preferred.

· Have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

· Strong desire for continued growth and learning in the construction field.

Requirements:

**Must be able to work in an outside and non-climate controlled environment.

**Must be able to lift up to 75lbs consistently.

**Must have work boots.

** Drug testing is required. Must Pass.

**Must have own reliable transportation.

** Must have a clean criminal background **
