Contractual Clinical Therapist

Livingston Family Center is an outpatient, mental health counseling agency in Livingston County, Michigan. We are seeking full and part-time contractual, clinical therapists to provide therapeutic services to clients with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Livingston Family Center offers a small team environment, well-equipped office space, a solid private pay and insurance-based referral stream, excellent collection rates and a competitive fee split.

Educational Requirements: The preferred candidate will have, at a minimum, a Master’s Degree specializing in Psychology, Social Work, or Guidance and Counseling. The appropriate candidate must have and maintain current full State of Michigan licensure as an LPC, LMSW, LLP, or LP. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ability to establish a strong therapeutic rapport with diverse clientele

· Complete thorough biopsychosocial assessments and measurable treatment plans

· Ability to provide therapeutic intervention via telehealth technology as well as in-person

· Schedule appointments with referred clients in coordination with Office Manager

· Complete required paperwork including Progress Notes and Intake Assessments

· Obtain client signature for Releases of Information to comply with HIPAA regulations

· Make appropriate referrals to our Psychiatrist and complete the Psychiatric Referral Form

· Provide contact/letters for the client/Court as necessary

· Coordinate services with outside providers and educators

· Complete insurance applications for paneling

· Complete insurance authorizations as required

· Notify the Office Manager of any changes in insurance or client fees

· Attend monthly staff meetings and clinical supervision

· Follow agency Policies and Procedures and Agency Privacy Practices

LFC operates an out-patient, mental health counseling office, a runaway and homeless youth emergency shelter, community-based services to at-risk youth, and a supervised visitation and safe exchange center for families affected by domestic violence. The agency is seeking a highly motivated therapist to join our team at The Connection Youth Services program working with runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth and their families.
