Job Description

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking a custodian/housekeeper to join our team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Shifts: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-9:30pm
Hourly Rate: $19.50 - $21.00

  Job Duties:

• Provide effective and courteous service to all residents, guests, vendors and fellow team members;
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in areas such as resident homes/apartments, common, dining and other areas throughout the community; Clean resident bathroom, kitchen, living and bedroom areas;
• Dust, clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, wash areas as appropriate; Empty trash, spot clean carpets;
• Cleans common areas including public restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, beauty salon, resident and employee lounges; clean furniture and wheelchairs.
• Empty trash and may deposit recyclable material in proper receptacles, picks up trash and keeps exterior perimeter clean;
• Take note of safety concerns and needed repairs and report to supervisor;
• Ensure that clinical areas are sanitized in accordance with established Infectious Disease Control policies & procedures;
• Performs event set-ups and tear-downs as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Custodial and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with residents
