Description

Position Summary:

Works with customers to ensure the timely production and delivery of ordered materials. Coordinates processed material shipments to assigned customers and resolves customer changes, material shortages, and manufacturing difficulties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze customers' material requirements within the Enterprise Resource Program system parameters including authorization levels, lead times, minimum order amounts and safety stock levels
• Responds to customer requirement changes by communicating with Scheduling, Shipping and Purchasing Departments
• Provides timely communications with customers regarding order changes to ensure customer satisfaction
• Enters and reviews customer purchase requests to support accurate processing
• Manages distribution (ship request) documents to ensure timely delivery of customers' material; coordinates with Shipping Department to maintain a manageable flow of outgoing goods
• Reviews inventory levels to determine if additional raw materials are needed and initiates raw material purchase orders as necessary
• Works closely with suppliers on timing and delivery statuses of raw materials
• Maintains process for ensuring open raw material orders meet their requested due dates
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Two years' experience in Customer Service, Purchasing, Production or Manufacturing role is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly customer focused approach required
• Must be detail-oriented; Strong organizational, multi-tasking and planning skills
• Ability to comfortably interact with all levels and disciplines of internal and vendor organizations domestically and internationally
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Solid mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-starter, flexible and team player
• ERP system experience a plus

The Customer Relations Representative will work as a temp to permanent role andwill be paid through a local staffing agency that works closely with Shawmut. This position is covering a leave of absence and could lead to regular employment.
