The Data Engineering and IT Systems team supports internal systems, data repositories and data pipelines, and compute platforms used throughout R&D. This includes developing high-level data strategies, supporting cloud and on-prem computing, advising and enforcing application security, providing internal tools to developers, and validating software systems. Responsibilities - What You'll Do:

• Continuously learn and share your technical knowledge
• Work collaboratively on data engineering and data pipeline solutions for R&D systems
• Design, develop, and support a variety of high-performance software solutions

Qualifications Qualifications - What You'll Bring:

• Must be enrolled or recently graduated in or with a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree program in computer, information technology or related engineering field
• Possess problem-solving skills using creative approaches
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams and business partners
• Hands-on experience and/or coursework in software engineering.
• Not required, but preferred technology experiences: Python, React, Angular, Typescript, C#, .Net, RESTful API Services, AWS, Azure, and SQL

DEITS Recommended Skills:

• In-depth understanding of an operating system, either Windows or Linux.
• Experience in software development.
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience in AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
• Experience with Atlassian tools, Microsoft Power Platform, GitLab
• Experience with cybersecurity, including authentication, authorization, and application security
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization
