Joseph J. Magnolia also known as JJM, has been a leader in the construction industry for over 75 years, delivering exceptional building services across Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. As part of our efforts to provide high quality products and exceptional service, JJM is looking to bring on board a certified DC Heavy Equipment Operator.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Safely and skillfully operate various types of heavy equipment safely such as excavation equipment (mini ex, skid steer ) and forklift.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance and repair tasks such as making simple adjustments, replacing minor parts, and lubricating equipment
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations by collaborating with team members to execute project plans effectively.
• Monitor site conditions and report any issues to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and site activities.
• Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety policies and maintain PPE in a functional condition. Personal protective gear provided, with exception to work boots

Must perform other general laborer duties as assigned.

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must have experience operating an excavator proficiently (5 years preferred)
• Experience in plumbing and able to install pipe when not operating
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees
• Job requires the following motions: stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching and squatting
• Requires regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
• May be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather
