Your Role

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, and replace diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance within company standards
• Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
• Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations
• Keep track of assigned repairs using the Shop Fax system
• Assist other maintenance shop personnel as needed
• Be willing to assume increased responsibilities and certifications
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or 2 years with Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Personal hand tools
• CDL A and DOT certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is based on relevant experience, education, specific skills, and geographic location. The expected base rate for this role is between $35.00 and $40.00, with additional overtime compensation available.
