Job Description
Monte Electric is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electric Motor Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric motors, generators, and other rotating equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with various motor types and a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electric motors, generators, and related components.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble electric motors and rotating equipment.
Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures using diagnostic tools.
Replace or repair worn parts, including bearings, brushes, windings, and shafts.
Perform motor rewinding and reconditioning as needed.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed following industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate service records and reports on repairs and testing.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience as an electric motor mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of electric motor operation, repair techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
Familiarity with motor winding and insulation testing.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Proficiency with hand tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
