Email Marketing Specialist – TEKsystems Location: Madison, WI – fully remote, contract position Job Overview As an Email Marketing Specialist you will manage and optimize workflows in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sitecore, lead consulting sessions with business partners, and develop automation strategies and training programs. Responsibilities Assign new work requests to team members, aligning capacity and skillset with request requirements and reassigning work as needed. Manage long‑term project queue and alert leadership of future staffing needs. Develop process recommendations, deliver training, and create documentation. Mentor employees through 1:1 sessions, monitor workload/capacity, and coach technology upskilling. Lead consultation meetings with business partners and manage multiple marketing automation projects. Serve as consultant for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sitecore technologies, handling email content, customer journeys, automation workflows, templates, and campaign optimization. Troubleshoot issues and support team problem‑solving. Advise on best practices for marketing automation, digital engagement, platform capabilities, and A/B testing. Collaborate on digital governance and contact strategy, training internal partners. Identify and report metrics for digital engagement, supporting leadership in strategy and roadmap planning. Demonstrate flexibility and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal guidance. May lead a team of professionals in a team‑leader capacity. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Salesforce Marketing Cloud AMPscript CSS Experience building HTML, AMPscript, and SQL for email marketing Marketing automation strategy and A/B testing expertise Nice to Have CDP experience Journey building experience Trigger email campaigns Additional Skills & Qualifications Direct mail experience Salesforce certifications (Email Specialist or Consultant) Exposure to emerging marketing technologies Experience with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud Leadership experience managing direct reports or project teams Experience Level Mid Level – minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour.
