Overview Osborn is seeking an entry level Structural Engineer in our Detroit office location. The ideal candidate would have familiarity with structural engineering concepts and ideas and a curiosity and interest in learning more about the discipline. Osborn is a fully integrated, multi‑disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of 350+ professionals who provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation, and commissioning. Position Responsibilities Assist Project and Senior engineers to assemble structural work products. Design new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings. Prepare structural integrity and assessment reports. Design and detail structures, including calculations and computer modeling, for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures. Assist in preparing design deliverables for SD, DD, and CD level documents. Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical, and Mechanical drawings and attend coordination meetings. Perform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase. Job Requirements / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Current EIT registration, or desire to register as EIT with the goal to become a PE. Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred. Ability to collaborate with a multi‑discipline team under senior engineer supervision.
