About the Opportunity
This role involves teaching ESL to professional soccer athletes who have already been part of our year-round program. The summer months are critical to maintaining their growth, and we’re looking for a tutor who can deliver engaging, practical lessons that focus on both everyday communication and vocabulary relevant to their soccer environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: Variable per week but typically:
Schedule: 2 days per week
Session Format: 2 x 60-minute classes per day
Makeup Classes: In-person or virtual depending on player availability
Start Date: Mid to Late June (Flexible)
End Date: Labor Day or August 31st
Commitment: Full summer availability (minus one pre-scheduled vacation week)
What We’re Looking For:Fluent in Spanish – This is a must. You’ll be supporting Spanish-speaking athletes learning English.
ESL teaching experience with adults or professional learners - This is a must
Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills
Flexibility in schedule to accommodate team practices and travel
Professionalism, cultural awareness, and a collaborative spirit
Additional language fluency (French, Brazilian Portuguese, or Polish) is a plus
