Position Reports to: Associate Director of Operations
Location: Carlsbad, CA - hybrid schedule, Tue & Thu in office
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

POSITION PURPOSE
The Event Services Manager will ensure the seamless Trade Show and Event execution by managing key services, including registration and the show app in addition to other operational tasks. This role involves managing external vendors, overseeing the registration process, and managing the development and implementation of the event app among other services. The Event Services Manager will work within the trade show operations team to ensure event services are aligned with the overall company strategy and objectives, leading to the successful production of the trade show.
KEY DUTIES
Oversee the registration process, from vendor management and system set up to on-site execution.
Ensure the registration system is set up to accurately capture attendee data and provide a smooth user experience.
Manage the development, implementation, and ongoing updates of the event's mobile app.
Coordinate with the app vendor to ensure all features and functionalities meet the needs of attendees and exhibitors.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of registration and show app activities.
Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of registration and app data.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve future events.
Lead on-site registration and app support teams during the event.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to registration or the show app in real time.
Ensure a high level of customer service for attendees and exhibitors during the event.
Work closely with the trade show team to ensure alignment on event logistics, timelines, and objectives.
Other related operational tasks as assigned
Requirements
KEY REQUIREMENTS
~ Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
~5+ years of experience in event management, with a focus on registration and event technology.
~ Strong understanding of trade show operations and logistics.
~ Personnel management experience.
~ Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Wrike).
~ Proficiency in tools such as Airtable, Teams, Microsoft.
~ Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
~ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
~ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
~ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
~ Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience working within the trade show or exhibition industry.
Knowledge of event management software and mobile app platforms.
Certification in project management (PMP, CSM, etc.).
