We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment in the Accounting + Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our accounting department's daily operations, ensuring our financial management is accurate and effective.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial analysis reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the workflow of the department.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data.
  • Produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Train and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
  • 5+ years' experience in accounting or related field.
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
