Job Description
Flight Nurse
-Perform specialized functions, including complex assessments,
diagnoses, and emergency treatments for patients during air and
ground transports.
-Document detailed, accurate information related to patient
assessments, treatments, and transports.
-Record comprehensive and correct billing information for transported
patients.
-Facilitate effective communication with management and both internal
and external stakeholders.
- Engage in public relations and marketing support activities.
- Continue to develop expertise in flight nursing, attending mandatory
meetings, equipment reviews, skill labs, and clinical rotations.
- Complete all annual recurrent competency requirements.
- Maintain an active paramedic certification along with all other required
certifications.
-Operate under the supervision of the Medical Director and report
indirectly to the Manager of Clinical Services and the National Director
of Clinical Standards.
-Adhere to the regulations and scope of practice defined by the local
Department of Health Services.
