Staff Management Group is seeking a Sit-Down Forklift Driver for our client in Wayne, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $18.50 / hour 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Driver to join our warehouse/distribution team. In this role, you'll be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and stacking materials using a sit-down forklift. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to workplace safety and efficiency. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move products and materials safely and efficiently 
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers 
• Stack, store, and stage materials in designated areas 
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues 
• Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning or documentation 
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed 
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Job Requirements:

• MUST be bilingual (English AND Spanish).
• High school diploma or GED preferred 
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) 
• 1+ years of experience operating a sit-down forklift 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety 
• Basic math and communication skills 
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
• Experience using RF scanners or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) 
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes 
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
