Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Pump and Power division. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel equipment, generators, and air compressors, and will be responsible for basic diagnostics and repairs of generators, power distribution systems, air conditioning units, heaters, and shoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic and repair work on generators, power distribution systems, air conditioning units, heaters, and shoring equipment.
• Understand and work with diesel equipment, generators, and air compressors.
• Conduct preventive maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings to ensure accurate repairs.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience servicing generators, HVAC systems, and power equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of personal hand tools.
• Understanding of boiler systems.

Work Environment

The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, from 7am to 4pm, with an on-call rotation once every 5-6 weeks. The work environment is equipped with the necessary tools and facilities to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Chesterfield, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $35.00/hr.
