SEASONAL GRAIN OPERATOR / BIN CLEANER
Pay Rate: $18.00/HOUR
Days: Mon-Fri
Hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm
Hours can/will vary
OT Required/Weekends required
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK EXTENSIVE OVERTIME: 60-80 HOURS WEEKLY DURING HARVEST!!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans and prepares storage facilities including but not limited to grain bins, flat storage, and ground piles along with performing daily housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness and order of the grain handling areas (tunnels, head house, dump pits, facility grounds, grass areas, etc), as well as any areas within the plant as directed.
- Assists in the loading, unloading, transferring, and storing of grain.
- Follows established policies and procedures, along with proper communication when operating grain handling equipment.
- Become knowledgeable of all grain storage locations and the capacities of each.
MUST BE:
- Comfortable lifting 60 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable working around grain (moisture can cause strong odor)
- Willing to work outside during summer months
- Comfortable with small or confined spaces
- Willing to work mandatory overtime
