We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Writer in Newark, New Jersey, United States. The primary function of this role is to meticulously research, draft, and submit competitive grant proposals in a corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
• Research and identify new grant opportunities
• Draft compelling and competitive grant proposals
• Submit completed grant proposals in a timely manner
• Secure foundation and corporate grants
• Monitor and manage active grants
• Maintain accurate records of all submitted, secured, and pending grants
• Collaborate with the team to gather necessary information for grant proposals
• Follow up on submitted proposals and provide feedback to the team
• Stay updated with the latest trends and changes in grant writing
• Ensure all grant information is accurate and submitted according to guidelines.
• Demonstrated proficiency in grant writing
• Proven track record of securing grants from both private and public sectors
• Exceptional research skills to identify potential grant opportunities
• Proficient understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software
• Knowledge of the non-profit sector and fundraising strategies
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex documents
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
• Experience in project management would be advantageous
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of the grant application process from start to finish
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
