Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist to support our prospective client within the Hanscom Air Force Base Military & Family Readiness Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Receive telephone calls, greet visitors, ascertain the nature of the call or visit, direct clients to the appropriate program manager in the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC), schedule clients for M&FRC classes, and provide complete and clear information that addresses most routine or procedural issues.
- Assess the nature of the call or visit, direct clients to the appropriate M&FRC staff member, watching for opportunities to raise awareness of M&FRC programs and services.
- Schedule clients for M&FRC classes and provide complete and clear information that addresses most routine or procedural issues.
- Responsible for performing various clerical and administrative duties, including entering all required information and data, and maintain currency within the Air Force Family Integrated Result Statistical Tracking (AFFIRST) database system.
- Provide input all Transition Assistance Program (TAP) data and resources in the AFFIRST web application to include but not limited to scheduling clients for classes and workshops, and sending reminder emails one week prior to class start date or time line suggested by program managers.
- Maintain the appearance of the Front Desk. Align chairs, materials, publications, and resources on a daily basis and report inoperable equipment to M&FRC management.
- Ensure all clients completely sign-in and generate a monthly client usage report in the format established by M&FRC management.
Requirements
Job Requirements and Experience - Have a strong working knowledge and capability to operate data entry device(s) to input lists, records, or other data points into an electronic format.
- Have a strong working knowledge of web-based applications (Microsoft Edge/Chrome), Microsoft (MS) Office Word, MS Office Excel, and other MS Office Suite Products.
- Customer service and communication skills are required in the professional environment of the M&FRC. Therefore, a minimum of one-year experience working in customer service is required.
- Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a timely manner.
- A basic understanding of military protocol, support group organizations, understanding of family systems in a military setting, and poses the ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population.
- Attire is to dress in appropriate business casual attire while in performance of contract.
- Services shall be performed 40 hours per week, during the times M&FRC is open which currently is Monday through Friday from 0800-1600. Lunch breaks will be for thirty minutes and must be taken between the hours of 1100-1300, with any deviation approved by the Chief of M&FRC.
ADA Requirements - Operate a PC and phone in an office environment.
- Work in a primarily sedentary position.
- Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required.
- Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.
