About the position

Duties

▫️This helicopter pilot position has a vital role as part of a team providing essential services to support the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) helicopter operation.

▫️The successful candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize in an operational environment ensuring that safety comes first.

▫️The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively, and recognize the requirement to work as a member of a team to provide outstanding client service.

▫️The main duties of the pilot position are to support CCG operations through a variety of flying activities from shore bases and CCG icebreakers.

Intent of the process

The immediate need of this process is to staff two (2) Helicopter Pilot positions on an indeterminate basis (permanent) within the Flight Operations Branch of the Aircraft Services Directorate in St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador) and Victoria (British Colombia).A pool of partially and/or fully qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar or identical positions within Transport Canada.
