Position : Insulator - Marine Industry
What You'll Be Doing :
As an Insulator , you will play a key role in the repair and maintenance of marine vessels. Your responsibilities include:
Removing insulation and lagging as required by job specifications or directed by supervisors.
Cutting and installing insulation on all types of structural and piping systems.
Working alongside apprentices and helpers to remove, cut, and install insulation.
Maintaining a clean work site , ensuring it's free of construction debris.
What We're Looking For :
At least 4 years of marine or shipyard insulation experience .
Ability to read and understand instructions, drawings, and ship repair terminology .
Physical and medical capability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and respirators.
Experience fabricating insulation pads and applying materials like hullboard, Armaflex, Cal-Sil, and ventilation insulation.
Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations.
