Residential Interior Designer (Full-time/Part-time) Location: Hybrid – Indianapolis (Local candidates only)

Harmony Homes + Co is seeking a talented and passionate Residential Interior Designer to join our team. This role offers a flexible hybrid work environment, combining the convenience of working from home with the necessity of in-person client meetings. Candidates must be local to Indianapolis and ready to lead design projects with guidance from senior designers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design projects from concept to completion under the oversight of senior designers.
  • Collaborate with our design team to convert sketches and concepts into precise and aesthetically pleasing digital drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Create as-is blueprints, space plans, furniture layouts, and select materials.
  • Work independently to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in all design documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure clear understanding of project objectives and requirements.
  • Contribute innovative design ideas and solutions.
  • Adapt quickly to design revisions and modifications while maintaining the design objective.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience, not including internships
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp to create detailed and accurate interior design and architectural drawings.
  • Previous experience or coursework in interior design is required.
  • Strong ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in design documentation and implementation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • A keen eye for design aesthetics and the ability to translate concepts into digital representations.
  • Availability for flexible work hours, accommodating both remote collaboration and in-person client meetings.
