The Investigator conducts independent investigations into police misconduct, including officer-involved shootings, deaths in custody, use-of-force incidents, and other complaints about unprofessional behavior. They interview witnesses, police officers, and impacted parties, collect and analyze evidence, and maintain confidentiality.
The Investigator prepares clear reports and works closely with the CPRB, Program Director, and Senior Investigator. All investigations are conducted thoroughly, fairly, and without bias.
