Role

Individuals in this position support evaluation of the safety and/or toxicity of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products by ensuring the health and welfare of research animals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs or assists in performing standard animal husbandry procedures, including (but not limited to):
• Receiving and housing research animals
• Feeding and caring for animals.
• Cleaning animal rooms, cages, equipment as appropriate
• Keeping appropriate inventory levels of needed supplies ( g., feed, bedding, etc.)
• Working with colleagues to maintain the animal facility in the best condition at all times to ensure the health and welfare of study
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: High School/GED or above (AS & BA/BS)

• Prior experience is beneficial, but not required for entry-level positions.
