Job Description

What youll be doing:

Workers will work alongside contractors to identify and locate non-city utility installations using specialized equipment. The workers will be trained in specialized equipment while working outside in the elements.

What you need to know:

• Hourly Pay $24.00
• Monday Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (some flexibility)
• Full Time, Temporary 12 months
• Location varies in Mesa, AZ

You will be responsible for:

• Performs skilled technical survey work in the field, operates land surveying equipment, including data collectors, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) equipment, total stations, and levels.
• Prepares and updates maps, schedules, graphs, benchmark elevations and monument ties to update survey files and data.
• Assists with performing calculations for construction projects in the field and/or office.
• Performs construction staking duties including staking out features, placing hubs or nails, lath, grading, and slope staking.
• Actively participates in all assigned land surveys including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys.
• Understands land surveying procedures and the use of instruments.

What skills & experience youll bring to us:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to at least 3 years of land surveying experience.
• Organizational skills, and detail oriented.
• Understand and be able to read construction plans.
• Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Auto CAD and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are desirable.
• Must be able to tolerate and work in the heat.
