Job Description
Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader / Crew Member Pay Rate: $18.00 - $24.00 hour depending on experience Must be able to use commercial walk-behind mowers or be willing to learn Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Kent Greenhouse, a division of Hoffman Landscapes, serves residential customers located in Litchfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY. You will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor spaces, including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and fertilizing plants. Crew members are also expected to provide job site cleanup as part of daily activities. Crew Leaders will oversee small teams of staff performing the below responsibilities but should be prepared to work alongside crews as needed. Experience with proper operation of line trimmers and hedge trimmers required.
Responsibilities: * Mowing, edging, prune/trim trees and shrubs, clean-ups, and other routine landscape duties
* Plant flowers, trees, and other plants according to landscape designs, and mulching as needed.
* Remove weeds and unwanted plants to maintain the health and appearance of landscapes.
* Assist in landscape construction projects as needed.
* Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
* Finish tasks on time.
Qualifications: * Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field.
* Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers and blowers.
* Able to walk considerable distances on client properties
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as potentially irregular hours
