This position will be working primarily in our IOP and PHP facilities in Sacramento.
Positions available: - Part-time: 12-15 hours per week
Job Description: The Psychiatrist is responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing, or ruling out mental disorders, prescribing treatments, and conducting regular follow-up appointments to monitor the patient’s progress. The Psychiatrist will demonstrate the ability to adapt to different locations, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to synthesize data to formulate effective and evidence-based clinical recommendations are paramount to this position.

- Use a variety of methods to evaluate a patient, such as interviewing the patient, their family or other persons.
- Develop a treatment plan according to the needs of the patient’s needs and extent of emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disorder.
- Treat a patient using psychotherapeutic methods and medication, monitoring the effects of any medication, and adjusting treatment where necessary.
- Consult with the patient’s Primary Care Physician, Nurses, or other health care providers.
- Referring a patient for psychological testing to determine a diagnosis and its severity
- Provide crisis intervention when needed.
- Write and maintain patient and clinical records, including the type of treatment and medication administered.
- Keep up to date with professional job knowledge by reading publications, attending educational conferences, or maintaining professional networks.
- Follow ethical and legal policies, procedures, and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required education and experience :
- Must possess a MD/DO with an unrestricted license.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Have at minimum two-year experience in a Behavioral Health setting
- Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
- Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred education and experience :
- Two to five years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting

Hourly: $225 - $245
The posted pay range is a reasonable estimate that the organization believes in good faith it may pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Pay may consider several factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future depending upon many factors including business needs.
