Bank of Botetourt is seeking qualified candidates for a Loan Review Specialist who will work out of our Loan Services Center in Troutville, Virginia. Qualified candidates should possess a high attention to detail and have the ability to maintain accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support others are a must. Candidates must be capable of handling confidential information responsibility and have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Position Summary: This position performs loan reviews to ensure that specific documentation is both accurate and compliant.
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Status: Non-Exempt
Essential Functions of the Loan Review Specialist: Provide support with all areas of loan files, scanning, updating, and maintaining of loan files.
As new loan files arrive to the Loan Administration Center for permanent filing, performs loan reviews to ensure that specific documentation is accurate, and the bank’s liens on collateral are adequately in place
Participate in the maintenance and remediation of pending documentation on all loans
Provide support and serve as back up to loan file scanner
Assist in the identification of loans that qualify for CRA consideration
Assist in the identification of loans that qualify for Federal Home Loan Bank collateral consideration
Assists in all general departmental duties, including:
Handling correspondence and telephone inquiries pertaining to insurance
Filing all documents in a timely manner
Assisting loan officers and processors with files, faxes, and questions, etc.
Preparing reports for secondary market review
