Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers therapeutic massage in accordance with prescribed standards and techniques. Provides massage therapy at ECHN rehab sites.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- Graduate of an accredited school of massage therapy.
- Must hold or is eligible for Ct license and have one year progressive experience in massage therapy.

- Performs massage strokes with appropriate rhythm.
- Performs massage strokes at the appropriate rate.
- Uses universal precautions to prevent the transmission of serious communicable diseases.
- Uses proper body mechanics in the performance of job.
- Identifies precautions and /or contraindications to utilizing massage techniques.
- Assists in marketing when appropriate.
- Ensures work area is safe and clear of obstacles. ECHN
