Medical Assistant

Location: Glastonbury, CT (with travel to Avon, West Hartford, and other nearby sites)

Join our patient care team as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing staff with daily office operations. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient cardiology setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient care tasks and clinical support duties.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Manage patient intake and ensure smooth flow through the office.
• Room patients promptly and maintain efficiency.
• Document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) with precision.

Essential Skills:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) diploma required.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical assisting role (entry-level candidates will be considered).
• Strong proficiency in patient care and clinical tasks.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and triage procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Cardiology experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform EKGs and assist with stress testing.
• Highly organized and efficient in managing patient flow (goal: room patients every 20 minutes).
• Specialty experience preferred but not mandatory.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a fast-paced cardiology office that values a family-oriented atmosphere while handling high patient volumes. Primary location is Glastonbury, with additional sites in Avon, West Hartford, Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, and Norwich.

Schedule: Full-time, with availability from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of Glastonbury, CT.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
