All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift** : Tuesday-Friday 8:00am-5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm for 2 weeks, then Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. **Location:** 200 North Lakemont Avenue Winter, Park Florida 32792 **The community you'll be caring for:** AdventHealth Winter Park + Winter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years + Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness + Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute **The role you'll contribute:** Responsible for addressing the holistic needs of patients, families, and staff through music therapy interventions. This position uses music to address physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals of all ages. Additionally, this role conducts music therapy assessments and administers therapy to improve abilities for independent function, behavioral management, social skills, symptom management, and activities of daily living. In addition, this position offers individual and group sessions to provide safe and proper services. Additionally, this role provides mentorship and supervision for Music Therapy interns. This position contributes to the overall mission by fostering a sense of trust, belonging, and hope within the healthcare team. **The value you'll bring to the team:** + Maintains the safe and efficient operation of the center by monitoring equipment safety. + Performs administrative duties, identifies needs and opportunities, and makes recommendations for change to the manager. + Conducts assessments and administers music therapy to patients of all ages. Leads individual and group music therapy sessions. + Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff. Participates in team and professional meetings, providing input on patient, family, and staff needs. Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:** + Bachelor's degree + 1 experience as an music therapist in a medical setting. + Board Certified Music Therapist (CBMT) + Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) -PREFERRED This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
