Since 2005, East Bay Pet Care LLC has been a leader in the pet care industry. We have cultivated a remarkable client base built on mutual respect, honor, trust, reverence, and confidentiality.

We service Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, and nearby communities.

The position:

• Professional neighborhood dog walker/pet sitter.
• You may have the option for group dog walking on hiking trails. This would be an additional earning opportunity.
• Most staff members start 10-20 hours weekly, but opportunities can grow from there as you share your talents with us!

Schedule:

• Most dog walking is on weekdays from 9am to 2pm.
• Most pet sitting is in the morning and evening.
• We would prefer a candidate who can work 2-3x weekends per month (both Saturday and Sunday).
• Shifts can be 2-6 hours in length. Schedules are based on client demand and staffing levels.
• Our operating hours are 7am to 6pm.

Compensation:

$20 - $25 / hour (after training is complete, staff will start at $20 per hour before bonuses and client gratuity. Compensation is $25 per hour on weekends.)

$800 - $2000 / month

• Paid training at $17 per hour normally runs for four weeks. 
• We have a $16 split-shift bonus if scheduled with a split shift.
• Major holidays pay $25 per hour plus $5 per visit. 
• Paid remote learning from home. Incorporating videos, tutorials, and quizzes from Fetchfind.
• Client gratuity
• Mileage reimbursements of sixty-five cents per mile.
• Cell phone stipend of $25 per month.

The responsibilities:

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs.
• Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's pets.
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch.
• Share your passion and talents with us as we continue to grow East Bay Pet Care.
• Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player.
• Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

• An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate.
• Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important.
• Consideration for candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability. 
• This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their professional experience with dogs. Many of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
