Sub Zero Ashland in Ashland, MA is looking for one night and weekend shift lead to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 91 Main St Town Hall Plaza. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.

Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream is an innovative ice cream shop. We use liquid nitrogen to instantly freeze custom frozen treats as designed by our customers. We value hardworking and enthusiastic team members and we make it a priority to ensure their success. We are growing quickly and there are management positions available for those who perform exceptionally.

In this role you will supervise the store on a given shift including oversight of food preparation, kitchen prep and stocking, sanitation, general store operations, and customer service. Working closely with store management, you will be an integral part of the team to make hiring and staffing decisions, defining and upkeeping operational standards, and creating promotions.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of employees during assigned shifts
• Ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
• Oversee food preparation and presentation
• Provide ongoing staff coaching and development
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and store protocols

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Consistent ability to work evening shifts and rotating weekends
• Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or hospitality management preferred
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

Bonus if you have:

• An active food handler's permit
• Social media and marketing skills
• Event planning experience
• Knowledge of current food and beverage trends
