Green Bay Packaging Inc. is looking to hire an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) for its Folding Carton Division located in DePere, WI. This facility employs 370 people and specializes in designing, printing, and manufacturing folding cartons, trays, and displays for a diverse array of products and customers. The OHN will be responsible for providing on-site nursing programs and services aimed at protecting and promoting the health and wellness of employees.

\n \nResponsibilities\n

  • Provide on-site assessments and treatments for injuries and illnesses, and triage work-related injuries as necessary.
  • \n
  • Serve as a highly visible and engaged resource for both employees and the management team, focusing on risk assessment, injury prevention, and ergonomic reviews of operational requirements through regular site walks and open communication with employees.
  • \n
  • Investigate, monitor, track, and follow up on employee injuries and medical issues within the work environment.
  • \n
  • Manage employee electronic medical records confidentially to comply with regulations, including HIPAA.
  • \n
  • Oversee the site’s drug testing program and train selected supervisors on the collection process.
  • \n
  • Manage the training and coordination of the First Response Team.
  • \n
  • Provide counsel and lead programs aimed at promoting the health and wellness of personnel.
  • \n
  • Administer the worker’s compensation program with third-party case management and assist in administering disability benefits.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with HR and Safety personnel to compile injury statistics, maintain injury logs, and gather other data for the development of preventive safety programs.
  • \n
  • Partner with HR to manage the FMLA program.
  • \n
  • Lead annual employee training sessions on topics such as blood-borne pathogens and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • \n
  • Coordinate and manage outside vendors for annual hearing tests, first aid/CPR/AED training, drug screening, and other services.
  • \n
  • Perform other safety and health duties as needed.

\n \nQualifications\n

  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin, BSN preferred
  • \n
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an Industrial Environment
  • \n
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN/S) Certification preferred
  • \n
  • Certified in CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
  • \n
  • Emergency department, Orthopedics, and/or Case Management experience a plus
  • \n
  • CAOHC (Hearing Certification) preferred
  • \n
