Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented
Order Selector with
Forklift experience to join our warehouse team in
Northwest Houston, TX . As an Order Selector, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately selecting products from our inventory to fulfill customer orders, while operating a forklift to move items safely. This role requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Order Selection: Accurately select and pull products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders based on order sheets or pick lists.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to transport items within the warehouse, ensuring proper handling and movement of goods.
- Product Handling: Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and organization of products to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts, maintain accurate stock levels, and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Quality Control: Inspect selected items to ensure they meet quality standards and match order specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while operating forklifts and handling products to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily order fulfillment goals and ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- General Warehouse Duties: Assist with loading/unloading, maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse, and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications: - Forklift Experience: At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and ensure the accuracy of order picking.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Communication Skills: Basic verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
- Warehouse Knowledge: Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe operating procedures for forklifts and handling materials in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification (OSHA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Previous experience with order selection in a warehouse or distribution center.
