Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS •Manage the overall operations of the paper mill, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
•Lead and supervise a team of supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
•Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and control costs.
•Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
•Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
•Oversee raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.
•Implement and monitor preventative maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruptions.
•Train and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous learning.
•Report regularly on performance metrics, production output, and operational challenges to senior management.
•Drive adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the pulp and paper industry.
- Strong knowledge of paper mill operations, equipment, and processes.
- Proven ability to manage teams and improve operational performance.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in using production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (a plus, but not required) Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS •Primarily onsite in a paper mill environment.
•Exposure to loud noise, heat, and industrial machinery.
•Must be available for on-call responsibilities and extended hours to address operational needs.
•Must be available to travel (less than 10%)
Salary range is $95,000 to $125,000 depending on experience.
