Schedule: Part Time, 40 hours per pay period Shift: Days: 3:00pm - 11:30pm, w/rotating weekends and holidays Location: AdventHealth Bolingrbook Hospital 500 REMINGTON BLVD, Bolingbrook, 60440 The role you'll contribute: Personally facilitates the movement of patients or patients related items, in the most expeditious, professional, and customer service-oriented manner possible, using the most expedient method at your disposal. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you'll bring to the team: Personally facilitates the safe, efficient, and expedited movement of patients from area to area via stretchers, wheelchairs, beds and cribs. Personally facilitates the efficient and expedited movement of patient related items such as belongings, paperwork, labs and equipment. Assists in the safe transfers of customers (such as: from bed to stretcher or wheelchair). Accurately records the transport and reports the necessary information by correctly utilizing the Transportation EMR system. Appropriately utilizes PPE, and follows HIPPA, OSHA, and AdventHealths Policies and Procedures. Ensures that hallways are maintained clear of clutter related to wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, mattresses, transportation carts and cribs by moving equipment not in use to designated equipment storage areas. Maintains competencies related to annual completion of BARE Facts, NPSGs, PPDs, BLS refresher course and other department or Hospital required competencies. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed High School Grad or Equiv Preferred Direct or related experience within healthcare setting highly preferred People Skills: Ability to understand customers needs and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner. Communication Skills: Able to communicate in English using good diction and respond to people's needs in a pleasant and courteous manner as perceived by the customer, and as appropriate to adolescents, adult and geriatric patients. Technical Skills: Ability to operate stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs.
