Job Summary

The Speech?Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will deliver therapy to children and adolescents with speech, language, and communication disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech?Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update individualized patient care plans addressing specific speech and language needs in alignment with supervising therapist.
• Deliver speech therapy services and activities for patients with speech and language disorders.
• Create and maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes in a timely manner.
• Attend and participate in case conferences with local teams monthly, and actively participate in staff development opportunities.
• Communicate between supervising therapist, agency, clients, and Area Support Manager to ensure a well?coordinated approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field required.
• Active Texas SLPA licensure or active process toward obtaining one required.
• Preferred: 1 year supervised SLPA experience, home?health experience, and familiarity with therapy documentation software.
