The System Reliability Engineer (SRE) strategizes and conceptualizes to improve and protects the software and systems behind all of T-Mobile's IT services, including management of scalability, availability, latency, performance, security, and capacity, and delivering of software, faster, better, and cheaper. This role will work as Test Automation Architect, providing a chief influence on some of T-Mobile's major Enterprise programs. From crafting & maintaining CICD Pipelines to certifying the next generation of T-Mobile applications on cloud native platforms, the SRE's enable great customer experience and product innovation by continuous improvement of operational support. Job Responsibilities : Strategy Conceptualizes and assists in creating new designs, architectures, standards, repeatable processes and methods for delivering software efficiently and handling operations better, resulting in increased customer experience thru continuous improvement of the applications. Relationship and People Management Leads/Teaches a team of Systems Reliability Engineers and vendor resources as needed Leads improvement work and is POC on projects. Technology and Systems Applies expert knowledge and skill in emerging DevOps-centric automation tools and technologies for CICD, configuration management, etc. for non-prod and production environments. Contributes in future improvement of software delivery processes and operations, e.g., cloud enablement, use of microservices with containerization. Architect and implement sophisticated automation strategies for API, UI, and service-level testing using Postman, Portman, and Tosca. Integrate AI/ML algorithms to enhance test case prioritization, self-healing automation, defect prediction, and intelligent test data generation. Build smart API test frameworks using Postman and Portman, including multifaceted test generation from OpenAPI specs. Design and manage Tosca test automation frameworks with AI-enhanced object recognition and test optimization. Enable AI powered test insights by analyzing test run data, logs, and defect patterns to identify risk areas and test gaps. Incorporate automation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous quality checks throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define and apply standard methodologies for AI-enabled quality engineering. Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI/ML as applied to QA and automation, and assess their applicability to ongoing projects. Creates, handles, and uses dashboard for continuous monitoring and health check of applications, and the underlying infrastructure, improve the quality of services using the monitoring feedback for non-production and production environment. Education and Work Experience : Master's/Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of Master’s degree, equivalent proven experience may be considered. (Required) 10+ years Proven experience. (Required) Experience working in an Agile and DevOps environment. (Required) Experience in one or more of: C, C#, Javascript, Perl, Python, Go, or scripting experience in Shell and Perl. (Required) Deep understanding of API testing, RESTful services, and OpenAPI specifications (Required) Extensive experience in contract testing (Required) Comprehensive hands-on experience with Postman, Portman CLI, Tosca and GitHub Co-pilot (Required) Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery toolkits, such as, Jenkins, GitLab etc. (Required) Experience with DevOps tools, such as, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc. Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, etc. is preferable. (Preferred) Experience in telemetry and solid understanding of tools like Splunk and AppDynamics (Preferred) Experienced with cloud environments (public/private). (Required) Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Tricentis LiveCompare, Testim, Mabl, Functionize, or Selenium with AI enhancements). (Required) Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience applying them to real-world test optimization problems. (Preferred) Experience with self-healing automation frameworks. (Required) Exposure to predictive analytics and test data engineering.
